Unable to read PDF files
« on: October 08, 2008, 08:55:15 PM »

Huh I'm not able to read the pdf files.  I get symbols and little boxes where the letters should be.  Pix are okay.  I have a Mac, so I wonder if that makes a difference.

It shouldn't... what version of OS X are you running and are you using Adobe Reader to view them or OS X's Preview?

Just verified the same problem on my Mac using preview. So it looks like the PDFs have to be viewed in Adobe Reader.

I'm using a Mac running 10.5.5 and they are viewable under Preview. Perhaps whoever is saving the files needs to make sure the app is set up for best compatibility across platforms.

It's probably a problem with older versions of OSX then. I'm running Panther on an older Mac Mini. Looks like InstantKarma has an older Mac too.

Adobe is the only way to print some of the images. It also does not allow modification and produces date-stamps so could be used by courts.
